is a hybrid platform for creative projects made by people impacted by legacies of colonialism.

An artist-run site for experimental thought and production, it offers an opportunity for play and investigation.

It is a space of creative research, productive insurgency, and alternative modes of being.

A series of beautiful failures, it is an experiment in utopias.

TWOSIXTEEN currently supports two types of projects:

Office hours
Works devised for display on one 6ft x 10ft stretch of wall on the inside of a faculty office and outside the office in the hallway in an acrylic wall-mounted document holder just next to the door. Projects are additionally paired with a work or writing printed on a single sheet of paper, rendered as a PDF file for digital distribution/circulation as a compliment to the project.

A series of published projects that consider technology, new media, and/or sound (with particular focus on works of sound art, experimental music, and audio performance).
